Borneo Surfer’s Watersports Centre
Type: Dive Centre
Location: Tip of Borneo, Kudat, Sabah
About: Borneo Surfer Watersport Center is founded by local dive professionals Ivan and Camuel, both of which have been scuba diving for decades, and have been diving around Kudat well before it became known to the public. The dive centre is a simple no frills establishment right in the heart of the Tip of Borneo (Tun Mustafa Marine Park). Their decision to set up in Kudat, leaving behind the comforts of Kota Kinabalu and even the luxuries of Layang Layang Atoll speaks volumes regarding the diving quality in Kudat. During the offseason, hit them up for other watersports such as surfing, body boarding and even kite surfing (psst.. Ivan is a surfing instructor). Above or below the surface, Borneo Surfer Watersport Center has got you covered!

DIVING AT THE TIP OF BORNEO ★★★★
“What was supposed to be a day trip ended up at a spur of the moment (thank you, beer!) being a weekend trip of 4 dives at Simpang Mengayau, Kudat. The last minute extension was smooth and easy, thanks to Scubahive and the dive centre arranging accomo at nearby lodgings and meals. The reefs were beautiful and untouched though visibility (3-5mtrs) at the time was not the best. Was told April to June would be better and not as cold (experienced 26°c at some point). Appreciated Phils emphasis and tips on safety, having lost sight of the group on one of the dives. And especially appreciate rekindling an old fave pastime. Looking forward to the next dive with these guys!”
