In addition to the fantastic macro diving in the Ambon Bay, there is also pristine coral walls on the South Side. Also, there are hardly any crowds in Ambon, making it a relaxing dive vacation.

Here are some of our favorite dive sites 🙂
Batu Lompa :
Renowned for its volcanic activity, but its range of critters will certainly amaze you. Keep a lookout for turtles, lionfish, triggerfish, sweetlips, jacks, and barracudas. Currents are often strong here, so listen carefully to the pre-dive briefing and dive the plan.
Rhino City :
Named after the Rhinopis, a rare type of cryptic weedy scorpionfish, the site features a gentle slope with patches of hard and soft corals. Upon closer inspection, you may find anemone shrimps, porcelain crabs, ribbon eels, orangutan crabs, and even jawfishes within the sandy area.
Mimic Point :
A muck diving site which features the rare mimic octopus, seahorses, ornate ghost pipefish, cuttlefish, wonderpus, and nudibranchs.

Pattimura Airport (IATA: AMQ)

Fly to Pattimura Airport which is just 38km to the city of Ambon. Airport transfers are typically included in the trip itinerary for your convenience 🙂
